Data pertains to the number of third country citizens who are subjected to an administrative or judicial determination declaring their stay unauthorized and mandating their departure from the Member State’s territory.
Returns per Year
Data pertains to the number of third country citizens who have actually exited the territory of Greece. In 2019, Voluntary Returns under Article 7 of the Returns Directive are added, also returns under Article 22 of Law No. 3907/2011 following a return decision with a deadline for voluntary departure, holders of certificates of non-refoulement for humanitarian reasons under Article 78a of Law No. 3386/2005, as well as returnees following a waiver of an asylum application.
Returns Under the EU-Türkiye Statement
Returns/readmissions under the EU-Türkiye Statement have been suspended since March 2020.
