Geographic Distribution of Asylum Applicants in Greece
- The maps encompass asylum seekers in all Ministry of Migration and Asylum structures at the regional level in December each year. The figures exclude unaccompanied minors in state facilities. The shade of each region is based on the population percentage of asylum applicants.
- The population percentage is calculated based on demographic data from the Population Census by the Ministry of Migration and Asylum. Municipality-level calculations are not feasible with the publicly available data.

- The ESTIA Accommodation Scheme was terminated at the end of 2022.
